Prairie Land Online Academy Registrations

Sr High Semester Two Registrations Open: Monday, October 21, 2024

The deadline to register for synchronous (live) classes is January 27th, 2025.

The deadline to register for asynchronous (recorded) classes is March 31, 2025.

For our live classes, if by January 24, 2025 there are not five or more students requesting the live course it will be taught asynchronously.

**Please note that course registration may close before the deadline dates if the courses are full.

The following Semester Two classes are full and we are no longer accepting registrations for:

Math 20-2,Math 30-1, Math 30-2, Math 31

Chemistry 30, Physics 20, Physics 30

English 10-1, English 10-2, English 20-1, English 20-2, English 30-1, English 30-2

Social 10-1, Social 10-2, Social 20-1, Social 20-2, Social 30-1, Social 30-2

The following Semester Two classes are full and a waitlist has been created for:

Math 10C, Math 20-1, Math 10-3, Math 20-3

Science 10, Science 14, Science 24, Biology 20, Biology 30, Chemistry 20

CALM, PE 10, PE20, PE30

Experimental Psychology, Forensics, Science 20, Science 30

If you are a returning student to Prairie Land Online Academy:

*If you are not 18+ your parent/guardian needs to fill out the 2024-2025 registration, in full, on your behalf.

Enter your username (email address) and the password you created and click "Login".
At the top of the home page screen click "Online Student Registration".
On the Re-registration card choose "Prairie Land Online Academy" from the school dropdown menu.
Choose the student that you want to re-register from the student dropdown menu. If you are registering a child that has not previously been registered with us please click on "New".
Choose "OPEN" on the Re-registration card for returning students and complete, in full, the online registration form.
Once the registration form is submitted and has been reviewed a confirmation email will be sent to you.

If you are a new 2024-2025 student to Prairie Land Online Academy:

*If you are not 18+ your parent/guardian needs to create an account and fill out the registration, in full, on your behalf.

Click the create "Account Tab".
Fill in your Name, Email Address and create a Password.
Check your email to verify the account.
Login and choose "Prairie Land Online Academy" from the "School" dropdown menu.
Then click "OPEN" on the Prairie Land Online Academy card. This will take you to the registration form. Once the registration form is submitted and has been reviewed a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Program Fees and Tuition

Alberta Residents meeting Alberta Education Funding Requirements

No Charge

Non Alberta Residents (Canadian) and Students 20 years old or over on September 1, 2024

Grade 1- 9

$5000 CAD per year

Grade 10-12

$140.00 CAD per course credit

International Students

Grade 1- 9

$6250.00 CAD per year

Grade 10-12

$175 CAD per course credit

Payment of Fees and Tuition

Prairie Land Online Academy will issue an invoice once a student is accepted into one of the programs.
Payment may be made by e-transfer, wire transfer, bank draft (must be couriered), Canadian money order, or PayPal (a link to PayPal will be included on the invoice). Payments by PayPal will include an additional fee to offset the credit card fees charged. Please note, there may be delays in program commencement if the payment choice is not electronic.
Students will have the option to pay for their course in full upon enrollment or by the payment deadline dates. Late payments after October 15th for semester one courses and March 15 for semester two courses will result in a student being withdrawn from the course. Course marks will not be uploaded to Alberta Education until the full payment is received. Summer School payments are due by the first day of classes.

Refund Policy

If a student chooses to cancel their registration before the commencement date, they will be eligible to receive a refund of 2/3 of tuition.
A student choosing to terminate their registration after the commencement date will not be eligible for any refund.
Students who arrive after their commencement date will not be eligible for a refund for the time missed.
